Jolmi Minaya is an M&A consultant at Grant Thornton where he advises financial and strategic investors on financial due diligence matters related to divestitures, acquisitions, and mergers.
He has assisted Fortune 500 and middle market companies in over $4Billion in transactions. In doing so, he has made business more efficient and assisted in the creation of jobs across the Americas. He has lead projects in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Uruguay among other Latin American countries.
Jolmi grew up in Lawrence, MA and is of Dominican heritage. Growing up in a Dominican household, Jolmi played, loved, and was incredibly dedicated to baseball, which landed him a Division 1 baseball scholarship at the University of Richmond, where he received Atlantic -10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
In 2013, he graduated Cum Laude, Omicron Delta Kappa and a Bonner Scholar from the Robin’s School of Business at the University of Richmond.
Family has taught Jolmi the value of hard work, dedication, and the importance of giving back. Although he is often flying across time zones, he finds time to be civically engaged as the VP of Student Affairs at ALPFA-Boston and a board member at his High School’s (Pingree School) Alumni Leadership Board.
As the VP of Student Affairs, he provides Latino students an opportunity to obtain the career they wish to have. He believes that giving back is the only way to move forward.
In addition to being civically engaged, he also believes in personal economic engagement in the community. In that effort, Jolmi has invested in a construction, demolition and asbestos abatement company based in Lawrence that serves government agencies, universities, schools and private business throughout New England.
